• In-patient Treatment - Covers hospitalisation expenses for period more than 24 hrs.

• Restore Benefit -

  Optima Enhance bring you unique Restore benefit that automatically reinstates the basic sum insured in case you exhaust it in a policy year. Sure it sounds too good to be true but here is how it works: If you use up your coverage in an individual policy and fall ill with another illness, we will restore the entire sum insured for you to use, at no extra charge. If someone’s illness in your family uses up the coverage in a floater policy and if any other family member falls ill later during the same insured period, we will restore the entire amount at no extra charge.

  
  

  So, if you have a Rs. 5 lakhs policy and exhaust the entire amount, we will restore Rs. 5 lakhs, which you can use for some other illnesses or for any other member covered under the family floater policy, if needed. The Restore benefit would trigger once the basic sum insured on the policy is completely exhausted

• Switch Benefit-

  Optima Enhance comes with a unique Switch benefit where one can choose to covert the plan into a regular (nil deductible) health insurance plan. This makes Optima Enhance best suited for individuals with group cover and low sum insured policies.
  

  The main advantages here are:

  • Hassle free switch with no underwriting or medical tests
  • No waiting period: You bid goodbye to tiresome waiting periods, whether it’s the initial 30 days or 2 years for specific diseases or pre-existing condition

  This option is only available at 10th renewal, 15th renewal or between the age group of 55-60 years provided you have spent at-least 10 years in the policy. This option cannot be availed after the age of 60 years.

• Annual Preventive Health Check-up

  Optima Enhance helps you keep track of your health status with its preventive health check-up benefit offered at renewal irrespective of claim status

• 30 days for all illnesses (except accident) in the first year and is not applicable in subsequent renewals.
• 24 months for specific illness and treatments in the first two years and is not applicable in subsequent renewals. These illnesses will not be covered even if caused due to accident in the first 30 days in the first year
• Pre-existing Diseases will be covered after a waiting period 36 months.

HIV/ AIDS and any treatments due to the same; Any cosmetic or plastic surgery or aesthetic treatment; Any treatment of alcoholism or any drug addiction and any medical condition resulting there from; Any fertility treatment or maternity related expenses; Treatment of Obesity and other weight control programs; Treatment for psychiatric, mental or nervous conditions; Any treatment arising as a consequence of the abuse of intoxicants or hallucinogenic substances such as; intoxicating drugs and alcohol; Stem cell Therapy or surgery, or growth hormone therapy; Any non-allopathic treatment; Air Ambulance charges; Any treatment done outside the country; Any unnecessary medical expenses such as items of personal comfort, vitamins and tonics not prescribed by a doctor, and beauty products
