• Forward Contracts can be booked in 3 ways
  • On the basis of underlying exposure
  • On the basis of past performance
  • Under Special Dispensation
• Under Special Dispensation scheme, forward contracts and/or FCY-INR option can be booked without production of underlying contract at the time of booking against sanctioned LER limits.
• Outstanding forward and/or FCY-INR option contracts up to USD1,000,000/- can be booked. In case of MSME category, ceiling is upto the amount of credit facilities availed by them for their foreign exchange requirements or their working capital requirements or capital expenditure.
• Prescribed ceiling of USD1,000,000/- is a composite limit for booking of forward contracts and FCY-INR Option.

• Firms and companies can book forward contracts up to a limit of USD1,000,000/- without production of underlying documents at the time of booking.
• Simplified documentation
• Cancellation and rebooking of contracts permitted
• By freezing forward exchange rate, exporters/importers may have a better control over currency fluctuations.

• Suitability and Appropriateness (S&A) questionnaire as per prescribed format.
• At the time of booking forward contract, client should submit application-cum-declaration as per the prescribed format.
• MSME Registration Certificate (if applicable)
• Any other documents, if required
